Dirk Guidry has spent the last 11 years committed to making his community a better place to live, work, and raise a family. The values of hard work, faith, family, community, honesty, and integrity guide his decisions.

First and foremost, Dirk believes in the value of hard work. As a small business owner, husband, father, and grandfather,  he understands the dedication and effort required to achieve one's goals. He’s committed to working hard to make a positive impact on the lives of the people of District 53.

His faith is also a central part of who he is. He believes in having a personal relationship with God and following the good works that the Lord provides. His faith has always guided his decisions and actions as an elected official, and he has always treated everyone fairly and equally.

Dirk’s family is also a top priority and he recognizes the importance of supporting and caring for our loved ones. As a resident of Terrebonne Parish, he knows that our community is essential, and has always been an active member. He is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the people in the District and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Honesty and integrity are crucial to Dirk Guidry, and he values transparency and openness in all things. He’ll uphold a high ethical standard and strive to do what is right, even when it may be difficult. He believes in communicating with authenticity and integrity.

Dirk’s primary goal as State Representative will be to bring a better quality of life to District 53. The security of our citizens is a top priority, and he’ll work with all local, regional, and state officials to ensure that all citizens are safe. Dirk will partner with these same agencies to give the youth of the parish a better chance to receive an education through programs sponsored at Nicholls and Fletcher.

As a small business owner and current parish councilman, Dirk has a firm grasp of the complex issues faced in today’s business market. He believes strongly that District 53 has most of the necessary components to become a regional economic engine and will work tirelessly to synergize the stakeholders to continue working together toward common goals to improve and revitalize our District.

 

Dirk will continue to focus on hurricane protection, but he’ll also put an emphasis on drainage and infrastructure. He will work to build a bridge over the Intercoastal Canal and clean up the litter in District 53. He believes that these efforts will help make our community a better place for all of us.
